TEN was selected as the exclusive energy efficiency project developer for the University of Pittsburgh, designing and managing the delivery of more than 24 energy efficiency measures across 15+ campus buildings. The project improved air quality, system performance, and long-term energy savings while supporting the University’s maintenance staff through ESCO training programs.

Lighting Upgrades
- Installed high-efficiency LED lighting throughout campus, including the Peterson Events Center
Water Heating & Domestic Hot Water Systems
- Upgraded domestic hot water systems
HVAC & Mechanical System Improvements
- Implemented laboratory demand control ventilation systems to optimize air quality and energy performance
- Replaced chiller plants and installed new chiller water distribution valves
- Added variable frequency drives to mechanical systems for improved control and efficiency

- Conducted comprehensive retro-commissioning of building systems

- Delivered dedicated ESCO training programs for University maintenance staff to support ongoing system performance
